Marlies Wijsenbeek Back

Marlies Wijsenbeek is a pulmonary physician at the Erasmus MC University Medical Centre in Rotterdam. She is chair of the Erasmus MC multidisciplinary ILD centre, a national expert centre and member of the European Reference Network. Since 2012, she is also deputy head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at the Erasmus MC.

Dr Wijsenbeek’s research interests include patient-centred outcome measures in ILD, e-health, and new therapies in IPF and sarcoidosis. She is secretary of the Idiopathic Pulmonary Pneumonia Group of the European Respiratory Society and the Dutch National ILD section, and board member of the Netherlands Respiratory Society. She is a member of the (scientific) advisory board of the European Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and Related Disorders Federation, Dutch Sarcoidosis Patient Association and Dutch Pulmonary Fibrosis Patient Association.
